🍫 Dubai Chocolate (Pistachio Chocolate Bars)

Ingredients:

  • 200 g dark or milk chocolate (your choice)

  • 150 g kunafa/kataifi pastry (or pistachio halva as a substitute)

  • 100 g pistachios, finely crushed

  • 2–3 tbsp honey or sugar syrup

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder (optional, for Middle Eastern flavor)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pistachio Filling

    • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

    • Mix kunafa pastry with melted butter, spread on a tray, and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.

    • Remove and combine with crushed pistachios, honey/syrup, and cardamom.

    • Press together until it forms a crunchy, sticky mixture.

  2. Create the Chocolate Base

    • Melt the chocolate (double boiler or microwave).

    • Pour a thin layer of chocolate into a rectangular mold or silicone tray.

    • Chill for 5 minutes until slightly set.

  3. Add the Filling

    • Spread the pistachio mixture evenly over the chocolate base.

    • Press it down firmly to make it compact.

  4. Seal with Chocolate

    • Pour the remaining melted chocolate on top to fully cover the filling.

    • Tap the mold lightly to release air bubbles and ensure smooth coverage.

  5. Chill & Serve

    • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.

    • Slice into chocolate bars.

    • Decorate with extra melted chocolate drizzle and crushed pistachios for the authentic Dubai style.
