A Long Beach family is grieving the tragic death of a 3-year-old boy who was struck and killed by a vehicle after he ran into the street last weekend.

The child, identified as Noah Hernandez Perez, was hit near Artesia Boulevard and Rose Avenue. According to the Long Beach Police Department, a man was driving westbound on Artesia Boulevard when the collision occurred.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. Early findings indicate that speed, distracted driving, and impairment were not factors in the crash, which police have described as a tragic accident.

Remembering Noah

A GoFundMe page set up by Noah’s family describes him as a “loving” and “full of energy” little boy. The fundraiser, written in Spanish, asks for support with funeral costs and speaks of the heartbreak of saying goodbye to Noah far too soon.

“Together, we will fulfill our duty and help with the funeral expenses so that our Noah can say his final goodbyes and rest in peace like the little angel he is,” the message reads.

A Community in Shock

The sudden loss has left neighbors and loved ones devastated. Friends of the family have expressed their sorrow and rallied around them to provide financial and emotional support during this painful time.

Police say the case remains under investigation, though all indications point to a devastating accident rather than negligence.

For Noah’s family, the focus now is on honoring his memory and helping his two young siblings cope with the loss of their brother.
